Always keep a set of permanent markers around in your home, classroom, or office. It’s always a bit surprising how often we use these versatile tools for everything from labelling to simply writing. The bold ink retains a graphic look that you can count on to remain the same for a long period of time. Many people enjoy the bold ink and smooth writing experience, the permanence of the ink is simply an extra bonus!
What is a permanent marker? They're markers filled with ink that’s formulated to remain permanent on any surface they're used on. These markers can be used for writing on paper, plastic, rocks, metal, glass, and so much more.
Will permanent markers washout? For the most part, no. Depending on the surface you’ve written on, it is likely the ink will stay for a long period of time. There are some surfaces that won’t absorb the ink fully so it’s likely you’ll be able to remove your marks. There are also a variety of household methods for removing permanent markers from your surface.
Are permanent markers toxic? All of our products are AP certified and tested to be non-toxic so that you and anyone else who uses these markers will remain safe. However, we do encourage not using these on any surface where you might be eating off of such as plates or inside containers.
These durable markers come in a variety of package and nib sizes so you’ll always be able to find the right set for the job. Use these for your next art project and think of cool ways you can layer your mediums without the permanent marks getting affected by your other work. Whether you’re using these to label boxes as you move or to mark your pieces as you construct furniture or a sculpture, you’ll find that you’ll always want to keep at least one permanent marker nearby.
